Job Summary
Position: Kindergarten Classroom Teacher Long Term Sub Location:Brookside Elementary School Schedule:April 5 2026 through June 16 2026 (Contingent upon snow days)To Start:April 5 2026Qualifications:Massachusetts DESE Teacher Licensure certified regular education teacher Pre-K-2; Highly Qualified Status & SEI certified preferredWorking knowledge of the Massachusetts Common Core StandardsExperience working with elementary school aged children required980Excellent organizational and communication skillsExcellent computer/technology skills with the ability to integrate technology in lessonsExcellent classroom management skills and experience with behavior management plansAbility to differentiate instruction across all curriculum areas for all learnersAbility to use assessments and data to inform instructionAbility to collaborate with colleagues function as part of a team and participate in school eventsExperience and working knowledge of MTSSExperience and/or knowledge working in a Co-Teaching ModelExperience or familiarity with Illustrative Math Fundations Heggerty and Expeditionary Learning Curriculum preferredKnowledge or experience with Responsive Classroom techniques preferredResponsibilities:Provide a positive structured learning environment addressing grade level core-content MA Frameworks and English proficiency appropriate EL WIDA standardsDifferentiate instruction across all curriculum areas for all learners: general education students with disabilities and English learnersCollaboration with Special Education staff and providing instruction using a Co-Teaching ModelUse of formative and summative assessments and data to drive instructionPlanning and implementation of comprehensive standards-based programs such as Illustrative Math ST Math Fundations Heggerty and Expeditionary Learning Curriculum Planning and Implementation of Responsive Classroom and/or Positive Behavioral Intervention Support (PBIS)Integration of computer/technology skills within lessonsProgress monitoring compilation of data on a data grid and completion of report card grades for studentsOther duties as assigned by administration
