• Promote the mission vision and values of the organization.
• Assess patients at intervals in accordance with facility or health care organization policies and procedures.
• Participate in preoperative assessment and planning for surgical patients specific to RNFA activities (eg anatomical exposure wound closure) in collaboration with perioperative team members.
• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
• Implement the plan of care

• Other Successful completion of an RNFA program that meets the AORN standards for RN first assistant education programs. and Minimum of 5 years of Operating Room experience. upon hire and
• Registered Nurse: CA upon hire and

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire and
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support upon hire and
• Certified Nurse Operating Room upon hire or
• Clinical Nurse Specialist Perioperative Cert upon hire or
• Registered Nurse Practitioner: CA upon hire

• Previous RNFA experience

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
