We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Logistics Support Administrator.
As a Logistics Support Administrator you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day logistics operations of our company. This includes coordinating the transportation of goods managing inventory levels and ensuring timely delivery of products to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods to and from our clients ensuring timely and efficient delivery
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet client demands and minimize excess stock
- Communicate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any issues that may arise
- Prepare and process shipping and receiving documentation including bills of lading and customs documents
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and accurate order fulfillment
- Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities including inventory levels shipments and delivery schedules
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to improve logistics operations and stay competitive
- Provide support to the sales team by preparing shipping quotes and assisting with order fulfillment as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or supply chain management is a plus
- 2 years of experience in logistics supply chain or a related field
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and customs procedures is preferred
- Must be able to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 pounds
