The Team

The Payroll team within the Southern Europe plays a key role in delivering a reliable compliant and seamless payroll experience across Europe. The team focuses on standardizing payroll processes ensuring accuracy and timeliness and driving continuous improvement through automation and scalable solutions. Working in close partnership with HR Finance and external providers the team supports business growth by ensuring payroll excellence regulatory compliance and a high-quality associate experience across the region.

The Position

As a Payroll Specialist you will be responsible for delivering accurate compliant and timely payroll for the France retail population. You will ensure regulatory compliance provide a high level of service to employees and contribute to the continuous improvement of payroll processes and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage payroll data employee joiners/leavers and variable elements (bonuses absences leave sickness etc.).
  • Calculate review and validate payroll payslips and payments (salaries advances and interim payments).
  • Prepare review and submit DSN filings and other statutory social and tax declarations.
  • Manage final settlements termination indemnities and wage garnishments.
  • Provide payroll support to employees and handle payroll-related queries and claims.
  • Manage meal voucher orders.
  • Contribute to the follow-up and management of benefits and insurance (provident) cases.
  • Support the monitoring and updating of HR dashboards (sickness work accidents promotions etc.).
  • Collaborate closely with HR Finance and Accounting teams.
  • Participate in compensation campaigns profit-sharing/incentive schemes and statutory reporting (DARES gender equality BDESE).
  • Contribute to payroll tools optimization (ADP Workday Time & Attendance) vendor management and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role is based in Paris.

Measures of Success

  • Payroll Processing: Timely and accurate payroll processing across France. Target: 100% payroll accuracy with zero unresolved discrepancies per pay period
  • Payroll Compliance: Full compliance with regional and local payroll tax and labor regulations for France with no penalties.
  • Customer satisfaction: Increase in employee satisfaction regarding the accuracy transparency and punctuality of payroll accounting.
  • Risk and Controls: Effective risk management and robust payroll data security controls.

Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in payroll and social security regulations ideally within an international environment.
  • Strong proficiency in payroll tools with ADP being essential.
  • Excellent analytical skills strong attention to detail and a high sense of confidentiality.
  • Higher education in Human Resources employment/social or tax law or an equivalent background.
  • Fluent in French professional proficiency in English.
