The District Manager Southeast Region is a senior operational leader responsible for owning the performance profitability and culture of multiple Xylem Service Centers (Georgia & Carolinas). This role sets the strategic direction for the region while leading day-to-day execution ensuring exceptional customer outcomes and disciplined operational performance.

As a people-first leader the District Manager attracts develops and retains top-tier service and operations talent building a deep leadership bench and a culture of accountability safety and continuous improvement. This position has full responsibility for driving results through leaders aligning teams to business priorities and holding the organization to the highest standards of execution.

Aligned with Xylems Transport division within Water Infrastructure the role supports municipal wastewater customers with a focus on Flygt pumping solutions (Flygt 3000 product line). The District Manager acts as a key connector between customers service centers and enterprise leadershiptranslating strategy into action while accelerating growth operational excellence and customer trust across the Southeast region.


Charlotte NC Onsite position with 6 Direct Reports and Company Vehicle Assigned


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of aftermarket sales and services activities to achieve the budgeted sales and profitability targets

  • Manage a large team in multiple locations

  • Manage labor and repair costs while maintaining product quality

  • Maintain and develop effective workflows and systems to reach financial and operational excellence.

  • Execute continuous improvement opportunities using six sigma and lean methodologies to achieve business goals

  • Coordinate equipment requirements to maintain an inventory adequate for efficient operation excellent customer service and maximum utilization

  • Develop strategies for increasing capacity within a minimum of two service centers to support service and repair on Xylem product lines.

  • Ensure compliance of local state and federal laws and regulation (EPA OSHA DOT ADA and EEOC).

  • Satisfy customer corporate and contractual reporting requirements and needs

  • Performance management: Coach and develop team and drive culture aligned to Xylems Core Values

  • Ensure the maintenance of a hazard-free work environment and safe operations; Serve as a role model

  • Other duties may be assigned based on the business needs

  • Strategic Decision Making: A manager must be able to assess complex situations consider long-term implications and make decisions that align with the organizations vision and goals. This involves critical thinking foresight and the ability to balance various stakeholders interests.

  • Effective Communication: Clear and transparent communication is vital for a manager. This includes articulating vision expectations and feedback in a way that motivates and engages team members. It also involves active listening and openness to input from all levels of the organization.

  • Fostering Team Growth: A high impact manager invests in the development of their team members. This behavior includes mentoring providing opportunities for professional growth and creating an environment where continuous learning is encouraged and valued.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with a concentration in Business Engineering Operations Management or related field; or equivalent

  • Minimum of 5 years in industrial and/or relatable leadership experience within a complex operations environment

  • Previous business management experience including direct P&L responsibility

  • 3 - 5 years experience in related field of pumps pumping systems equipment rental or construction preferred

  • Strong business acumen and management skills including the ability to make decisions with minimal supervision

  • General knowledge of the operation and maintenance of a facility

  • General knowledge of mechanical/pumping designs; hydraulics; water flow; diesel gas and electric motors preferred

The estimated salary range for this position is $96600 to $125000 an annual bonus and

Company Vehicle Assigned.

Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors such as skills experience and work location and is not typically at the top of the Xylem we offer a competitive compensation package with a generous benefit package including Medical Dental Vision plans 401(k) with company contribution paid time off paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
