Sr Advanced Software Engineer CC++

As an Sr. Advanced Software Engineer you shall serve as a software development subject matter expert related to datalink technologies such as communication management functions (CMF) Flight Management Systems (FMS) and other mission-critical systems on various avionic platforms within a modern robust development operations pipeline (DevOps). You will be expected to apply advanced software engineering skillsets coordinate across hardware and software teams and ensure compliance with all customer and regulatory requirements and act as mentor to more junior engineers.

You will be an active contributor amongst an integrated product team as well as owner of key technical responsibilities assigned by project technical leads. This role will actively contribute to the development of certification and compliance strategies with industry standards (DO-178) as well as drive innovation and technical excellence which aligns with product roadmaps.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical leadership across CMF and FMS datalink systems.
• Serve as subject matter expert for ATN technologies avionic datalink systems.
• Influence and evolve datalink software architectures.
• Support strategic planning technology roadmaps and modernization efforts.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software bugs and defects.
• Participate in peer reviews design reviews and documentation activities for certification.
• Collaborate across various functional and global engineering and project engineering teams.
• Travel within U.S. and/or Internationally: 10%

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences technology engineering or mathematics.
• At least 7 years of Software Engineering experience.
• Proficient experience in C languages as well as higher-level languages.
• Proven experience in datalink communications systems.

• Experience with ARINC 664 CPDLC or FANS datalink communication systems.

• Working knowledge of industry standard communication protocols (ARINC MIL-STD-1553 CAN)
• Lab experience testing and verifying requirements of systems and software.

• Ability to adapt dictated by project changes.
• Multi-tasking and the ability to manage a variety of complicated tasks.
• Diverse thoughts and ideas; and experience teaming and collaboration with global Engineers.
• An understanding of data and networking structures protocols and apply analytical problem-solving methods.
