Role Overview:
As a Commercial Refrigeration Technician you will power up test and commission new systems so they operate safely efficiently and reliably for the long term. Youll work independently in the field and collaborate closely with installation crews controls technicians and project managers to deliver a clean on-time turnover.
Youll be hands-on with rack systems walk-ins reach-ins and associated control systems for commercial refrigeration installations.
Location and Travel
- Primary location: Orlando FL (Central Florida)
- Regional travel to job sites
Schedule
- 4050 hours per week
- Some night work and on-call responsibilities require
Compensation
- $28$35 per hour based on experience
Responsibilities:
- Power up and commission new commercial refrigeration systems.
- Program setpoints and verify functionality for control systems (e.g. Emerson CPC Danfoss).
- Perform pressure and leak tests electrical checks and refrigerant charge adjustments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve start-up issues across electrical piping and mechanical components.
- Verify systems meet manufacturer specifications and project requirements prior to turnover.
- Document start-up conditions commissioning data and punch-list items.
- Collaborate with installation crews controls technicians and project managers.
- Facilitate a smooth transition to service and maintenance teams.
Requirements
- 2 years of commercial refrigeration installation service or start-up experience.
- Strong knowledge of rack refrigeration condensers evaporators and controls.
- Ability to troubleshoot and tune superheat subcooling airflow and refrigerant charge.
- Comfortable reading blueprints schematics and wiring diagrams.
- EPA 608 Certification (required).
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel regionally to job sites (per diem provided).
