Overview of Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Cloud (Google Cloud AWS and Azure) Engineer/Administrator to join our dynamic this role you will be responsible for the comprehensive management and administration of infrastructure services projects and related resources across the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure alongside some administration of Google Workspace. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability security and optimal performance of our multi-cloud and collaboration environments
Responsibilities
Multi-Cloud Platform Administration (GCP AWS Azure):
- Manage and administer cloud projects/accounts (GCP projects AWS accounts Azure subscriptions) including creation configuration and resource allocation.
- Oversee the deployment monitoring and maintenance of various cloud services across GCP AWS and Azure (e.g. Compute Storage Database Networking Containerization services).
- Implement and enforce security best practices across all three clouds including IAM network security and data encryption.
- Monitor cloud resource usage identify cost optimization opportunities and implement efficiency improvements across all cloud providers.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues in a timely manner.
Specific Cloud Platform Responsibilities:
Google Cloud Platform (GCP):
- Oversee services such as Compute Engine Cloud Storage Cloud SQL BigQuery and Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
- Implement and manage security using Google Cloud IAM VPC and firewall rules.
- Establish a secure cloud landing zone to optimize the organizations utilization of cloud resources.
Amazon Web Services (AWS):
- Oversee services such as EC2 S3 RDS DynamoDB VPC and Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
- Implement and manage security using AWS IAM Security Groups and NACLs.
Microsoft Azure:
- Oversee services such as Azure VMs Azure Storage Azure SQL Database Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Implement and manage security using Azure AD Network Security Groups (NSGs) and Azure Policy.
Google Workspace Administration:
- Manage Google Workspace groups and associated access permissions.
- Configure and maintain log exports (log pumps) to BigQuery for comprehensive analysis.
- Establish connections to Google Clouds Security Command Center to enhance the security posture of the Workspace environment.
Cloud Adoption Strategy:
- The ability to align multi-cloud deployment with the larger Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and a clear business case for moving workloads.
- Manage the overall setup and configuration of cloud landing zones (e.g. GCP SLZ AWS Control Tower Azure Landing Zones).
Product and Sandbox Management:
- Administer and support various applications integrated with GCP AWS Azure and Google Workspace.
- Manage and maintain sandbox environments for development testing and experimentation across all clouds.
- Ensure proper access control and resource allocation for sandbox users.
Automation and Scripting:
- Develop and implement automation scripts (e.g. Python Bash Terraform) for routine multi-cloud and Workspace operations and infrastructure provisioning.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to manage and deploy resources consistently across GCP AWS and Azure.
Network Segmentation:
- Implement strong network segmentation using native cloud networking tools (VPCs subnets VNet firewall rules Security Groups NSGs) to isolate different environments and workloads.
Identity and Access Management (IAM):
- Establish a robust cross-cloud IAM strategy with granular permissions principle of least privilege and multi-factor authentication (MFA) for all access leveraging native cloud IAM roles/policies and central identity solutions.
Monitoring and Alerting:
- Set up and manage monitoring tools and dashboards for multi-cloud infrastructure and applications as well as Google Workspace utilizing services like Cloud Monitoring AWS CloudWatch and Azure Monitor.
- Configure alerts and notifications for critical events and performance thresholds.
Logging and Auditing:
- Configure comprehensive logging and monitoring capabilities using native cloud services (Cloud Logging AWS CloudTrail/Config Azure Monitor/Sentinel) to capture all activities security events and resource utilization for proactive threat detection and compliance auditing.
Security Services Integration:
- Integrate native cloud security services (e.g. Security Command Center AWS Security Hub Azure Security Center/Defender for Cloud) to enhance threat protection vulnerability management and real-time anomaly detection.
Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for multi-cloud and Workspace architecture configurations and operational procedures.
Collaboration:

- Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams on GCP AWS Azure and Google Workspace best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a Multi-Cloud Engineer/Administrator or similar role with expertise in GCP AWS and Azure.
- Proven experience in administering Google Workspace.
- Proven experience in establishing maintaining and managing cloud billing accounts cloud spends and overall financials across multiple cloud providers ensuring strict adherence to financial policies and regulatory requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of GCP AWS and Azure services and architecture.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (VPC VNet VPN Load Balancing) in a multi-cloud environment.
- Experience with identity and access management (IAM) in GCP AWS and Azure and user management in Google Workspace.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash).
- Proficiency in executing the core Terraform workflow for multi-cloud resource provisioning.
- Expertise in managing Terraform state including local and remote backends state locking and handling sensitive data.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker Kubernetes GKE EKS AKS).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
