The Role:

As a Senior Data Architect you will lead enterprise-wide data governance and architecture initiatives that enable trusted scalable and high-quality data across the organization. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to align data governance frameworks with business strategy and support data-driven decision-making at scale.

What Youll Do:

• Lead the design and implementation of enterprise data governance strategies and frameworks;

• Partner with data owners data stewards and senior stakeholders to align governance with business objectives;

• Define and enforce data governance standards to ensure data quality integrity and security;

• Oversee data governance activities including data quality management cataloging and metadata initiatives;

• Drive training and awareness programs to embed governance practices across the organization;

• Monitor compliance manage risks and resolve complex data governance issues;

• Establish governance metrics and reporting to track effectiveness and maturity;

• Stay current on industry best practices and continuously improve governance processes.

What Youll Bring:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Data Management or a related field;

• Minimum 5 years experience in data governance or data management;

• Proven experience building and scaling data governance frameworks;

• Strong knowledge of data quality metadata management and governance tools;

• Experience with frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK;

• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills;

• Fluency in spoken and written English.

Nice-to-Haves:

• At least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role;

• CDMP CIMP or similar certifications;

• Masters degree in a relevant field;

• Strong mentoring and team leadership capabilities.

Team & Culture:

You will be part of a distributed data organization split between Porto and Monaco. The Data Architecture Lead is based in Monaco while most of the team is located in Porto. The broader Data & Information organization is led by the Director of Data and Information and includes Master Data Data Engineering Data Governance and Data Architecture teams combining internal experts with external consultants.
