Now Hiring: Facilities Engineer Heavy Manufacturing
We are seeking an experiencedFacilities Engineerto lead maintenance operations within a heavy manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability safety and performance of all plant equipment utilities and infrastructure while leading a team of skilled maintenance technicians.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader with strong reliability engineering skills a passion for continuous improvement and a proven track record of driving uptime and operational excellence.
What Youll Do
As Facilities Engineer you will:
- Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians providing coaching training and performance leadership
- Own preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and reliability
- Troubleshoot mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Maintain critical spare parts inventory and equipment readiness
- Plan and schedule maintenance activities in coordination with production and engineering
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using root cause analysis and reliability best practices
- Enforce OSHA EPA and facility safety compliance standards
- Manage vendors and contractors for outsourced maintenance repairs and installations
- Support capital projects including equipment upgrades facility expansions and infrastructure improvements
- Maintain maintenance records inspections and asset histories using CMMS systems
What Were Looking For
- Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Expertise in preventive and predictive maintenance and root cause failure analysis
- Experience leading maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with CMMS systems for work orders PMs and asset management
- Solid understanding of OSHA EPA and NFPA safety standards
- Experience with TPM Kaizen 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles
- Strong communication leadership and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- 5 years of maintenance experience in heavy manufacturing or industrial environments
- 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Experience with capital projects equipment installations or facility upgrades
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Engineering Industrial Maintenance or related technical field preferred
- Trade school graduates with strong field experience encouraged to apply
Preferred Certifications:
CMRP OSHA 30 Electrical License Millwright Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing
