Job Summary
Southern Industrial Constructors seeks Maintenance Multi-Craft Journeyman for an on-going site in the Wilmington NC area - the site has access to customer cafeteria and food services and is in a controlled environment. This role is for an on-going assignment. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform new or modified installations to safely effectively and efficiently complete some or all of the following tasks: fabricate assemble rig install or maintain piping fixtures structures machinery and equipment consistent with specifications and drawings.
- Work within precise standards of accuracy to perform tasks involving dexterous use of hand tools power tools and mechanical equipment.
- .Understand and follow directions plans sketches and blueprints.
- Support other maintenance employees as directed.
- Ability to use and operate hand and power tools such as electric saws drills drivers wrenches and other power and hand tools as needed in a safe efficient manner.
- Able to safely operate a Manlift and other powered equipment as needed.
- Perform work from scaffolding ladders or other structures.
- Must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
- Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
- Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.
- Have thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of maintenance duties.
- Perform safety inspections of work area equipment and tools to ensure compliance with government regulations customer requirements and SICs safety program.
- Maintain a safe clean and organized working environment.
- Perform other job duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
Physical Demands
- Conditions include working in office shop busy traffic areas freezers and warehouses with frequent exposure to dirt dust grease oil vibrations and adverse weather conditions. Must be able to safely access all areas of property and buildings
- May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to move in and around confided spaces and uneven areas
- Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees alarms and other job-related noises
- Must be able to safely access all areas of property and buildings
- Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment
- Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position
- Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools
- Must be capable of standing for long periods of time bending consistently working on ladders and in awkward body positions
