Job summary: The Technical Assistant to the CEO is a high-trust high-impact leadership role responsible for supporting representing and executing the CEOs strategic technical and operational priorities. S/he will act on behalf of the CEO in his absence command authority across teams and ensure alignment between technology business strategy and execution.
The role requires a rare blend of technical expertise leadership presence strategic thinking and discretion particularly within a fast-paced fintech environment.
Key Responsibilities:
CEO Representation & Authority:
Act as the CEOs delegate in meetings reviews and decision-making forums when the CEO is unavailable
Communicate decisions with full authority across engineering product compliance and operations teams
Follow up on CEO directives and ensure execution without dilution or delay
Serve as a trusted gatekeeper and escalation point for critical matters
Strategic & Technical Leadership:
Translate the CEOs vision into technical and operational execution plans
Review and challenge architecture infrastructure and product decisions
Ensure technology strategy aligns with business growth scalability security and regulatory needs
Partner with Product Heads and Engineering Leads to drive outcomes
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Drive alignment between technology compliance risk finance and product teams
Resolve cross-team conflicts and unblock execution bottlenecks
Track key initiatives milestones and dependencies across the organization
Decision Support & Analysis:
Prepare high-quality briefs dashboards and insights for executive decisions
Evaluate technical financial and regulatory trade-offs for major initiatives
Identify risks gaps and opportunities early and proactively escalate
Governance Compliance & Risk (Fintech Focus):
Ensure technology and operations adhere to fintech regulatory requirements (e.g. data privacy security payments AML KYC PCI-DSS)
Participate in audits vendor evaluations and regulatory engagements when required
Maintain strict confidentiality and ethical standards
Operational Excellence:
Monitor the execution of strategic initiatives and ensure accountability
Establish processes metrics and reporting mechanisms for leadership visibility
Support crisis management and business continuity planning
Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems or related field
MBA or advanced degree is a strong advantage
Experience:
10 years of experience in technology fintech consulting or product-led organizations
Proven experience working closely with C-level executives
Demonstrated ability to lead without formal authority command respect and drive outcomes
Experience in regulated financial or fintech environments preferred
Technical Competencies:
Strong understanding of:
Fintech platforms payments lending or digital banking systems
Software architecture APIs cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity
Data analytics and system scalability
Ability to assess technical decisions without being hands-on day-to-day
