We are looking for a knowledgeable dynamic and self-motivated individual to join our Business Development Department.
Job purpose: This position is the primary business contact for clients. The incumbent is expected to provide consistently superior customer service to clients by designating their requirements and aims within the group to ensure quality sales. The role involves face-to-face sales-based communications with customers. Growth and success are measured by the performance and capacity to meet quotas.
Job Summary: The sales Agent is responsible for helping build up the Smart business by identifying new business prospects and selling the Smart portfolio to them. They must maintain relationships with current clients and build and maintain relationships with new clients. They will also need to stay ahead of their competition and work on sharpening and improving their skills by attending classes seminars or workshops.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs.
2. Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling networking and social media
3. Set up meetings with potential clients and listen to their wishes and concerns.
4. Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services.
5. Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data.
6. Ensure the availability of stock for sales and demonstrations.
7. Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences.
8. Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections.
9. Collaborate with team members to achieve better results.
10. Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams.
11. Develop review and report on the business sales strategy.
12. Work closely with other teams to develop new business channels and be adaptive to dynamic technological trends.
13. Identify opportunities for partnerships that will promote the Smart brand and lead to increase in sales.
14. Identify and document opportunities for new innovations
15. Monitor and gather information on competition by gathering market place information on pricing and products.
Requirements
Qualifications
1. Holder of a Bachelors degree preferably in IT related field and Business.
2. Knowledge in sales.
3. Having worked directly in marketing and in a customer-facing role is an added advantage.

The BDE is a very visible position to Smarts customers and has a high impact to the Smart brand. The BDE should be a champion whose enthusiasm dedication passion and conviction to Smart and Smarts solutions should be an example to both customers and other Smart officers.
The individual must be able to listen maintain a very detailed list of daily duties including all problems and correspondence and follow up on all activities and respond to all customer issues.
