Job Summary

  1. Greets visitors in a professional courteous manner.
  2. Answers incoming calls and routes all messages to appropriate staff.
  3. Assists with registration of students for adult education courses assists with questions maintains required paperwork and communicates this information to appropriate personnel.
  4. Collects counts and receipts all money.
  5. Makes deposits in a timely manner.
  6. Maintains all activity accounts.
  7. Prepares all purchase orders for the school.
  8. Reports workers comp injuries and FMLA leave to the Benefits Specialist.
  9. Records employee leave.
  10. Maintains confidentiality of information such as academic records health records personal family information etc. as appropriate.
  11. Assists in compiling information for various reports.
  12. Maintains complete and accurate financial data for the school.
  13. Submits all necessary reports to the Finance Department in a timely manner.
  14. Prepares correspondence forms reports etc. for the Director of Career & Technology Center.
  15. Receives sorts and distributes mail to appropriate staff.
  16. Reports regularly and punctually to assigned work location and notifies supervisor or designee of impending absence in a timely manner.
  17. Any other duties as assigned by the Director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. High school diploma.
  2. Two (2) years accounting or bookkeeping experience.
  3. Excellent communication skills.
  4. Excellent computer skills.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Three (3) years secretarial experience.
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
