Job Summary:
You will play a crucial role in supporting the Financial Controller to manage and optimise financial operations across all our ANZ Business Units. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations and driving efficiency in financial processes.

About the Role

This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations and driving efficiency in financial processes.

The role also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and provides training and guidance to other shared services team members.
Youll have the opportunity to:
- Assist the Financial Controller with Monthly & Quarterly reporting for Group including Debtors & WIP Analysis Quarterly Tax packs and balance sheet and income statement analytics.
- Manage intercompany processes and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly accruals amortisations and manage prepayments journals & reconciliations.
- Prepare and complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all entities and submit them to Blackline.
- Manage the fixed asset register for all entities.
- Review and approve accounts payable transactions expense approvals and oversee weekly payment runs.
- Handle AR escalations from monthly quarterly and annual software maintenance invoicing and project invoicing.
- Support the Financial Controller in reviewing fortnightly payroll according to employee timesheets and prepare fortnightly labour allocations monthly salary accruals and review and approve monthly leave accruals and any wage on-charges.
- Support the review and lodgement of payroll tax and workers compensation for all applicable states ensure payment of superannuation according to legislative requirements and prepare and submit fortnightly PAYG payments.
- Support and prepare monthly BAS FBT returns and Payment Times Reporting for all entities as required.
- Support the Financial Controller with cashflow forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and procedures.
- Compile audit responses as required and coordinate supporting documentation.
- Contribute to the review of business processes to ensure continuous improvements and efficiencies within the accounting area.
- Train shared services support team members in processes and procedures as required in the ANZ region.
- Engage with various stakeholders to understand and address financial requirements and queries.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounting processes.
- Support the Financial Controller in various ad hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks.
- Provide ad hoc support to the ANZ Group management to enable effective management and analysis of ANZ businesses.
What youll bring to the role:
- CPA qualification or equivalent.
- Strong experience in financial accounting and reporting.
- Proficiency in managing intercompany processes and reconciliations.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel PowerQuery or PowerBI experience.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and training skills.
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in finance and accounting.
