Job Summary
Develops in-services and continuing education for Periop nursing staff.
Reports to: Director Education
FLSA: Exempt
Education: Bachelors Degree Nursing (BSN)Preferred
Licenses: Registered Nurse
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Essential Functions
Provides educational offerings and materials based on the identified needs of the staff and the Nursing Education Council.
Serves as a knowledge base and resource to consult with and educate nursing and medical staff students and ancillary staff members.
Coordinate teach and facilitate certification courses (BLS ACLS PALS and other courses as requested and trained/capable to teach).
