Job Summary
Civil Designer (Multiple Positions) (Stantec Consulting Services Inc.; Lake Mary FL): Perform engineering design tasks on assigned FDOT-related projects under the supervision of the Project Engineer or Project Manager. Prepare engineering drawings for roadway and drainage plans engineering reports and required applications for regulatory agencies. Participate in the design and construction of transportation engineering projects and provide input as needed. Prepare geometric analysis and calculations in support of designs. Support permitting process of projects including meeting with clients contractors and reviewing agency personnel. Coordinate with regulatory reviewers to seek final approval. 40 hours per week M-F (9:00 a.m.5:00 p.m.). Individuals in the position may be paid a discretionary bonus. #LI-DNI #GTM
Qualifications
Requirements:
Must have a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field and 5 years of post-bachelors progressive related work experience; OR a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field and 3 years of related work experience.
Of the required experience must have 3 years of experience with the following: Preparing technical documentation for engineering projects; Roadway design analysis and development; and Design software including AutoCad Civil 3D and Geographic Information System (GIS).
Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days a week.
