Summary:
The internship in School Social Work provides supervised experience in direct service and consultation for Bucks County students ages 0-21. Students may be included in regular education or receive instruction in a special education program. The experience provides the Social Work intern with direct supervision in both direct services to students as well as opportunities to network with supporting community agencies on behalf of students. This internship is designed to meet the minimum hourly requirements for the intern to receive certification in the Pennsylvania

Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands. The employee is frequently required to walk; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee may be required to stand for long periods and to climb or balance and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:Options for internships include two semesters (full year) or one semester (half year) starting in the beginning of the school year.
