About the Role

We are looking to appoint an excellent social work qualified professional to the role of Case Progression Manager with responsibility for improving our services to children families involved in Public Law Outline (PLO) including pre-proceedings and care proceedings.

We are seeking a highly experienced manager with a strong track record of working in statutory safeguarding services to children young people and their families. As the Case Progression Manager you will need to have extensive knowledge experience and understanding of safeguarding legislation and procedures including the Public Law addition you will need experience of ensuring the progress of cases are effectively tracked with performance management and quality assurance systems that are in place.

The key aim of the post is to helpsecure the best outcomes for vulnerable children by driving best practice in all case work leading to Court proceedings regarding children and their families. The postholder will ensure that all pre and care proceedings work is fully monitored and progressed to secure efficient effective economic high quality child focussed service delivery within timescales.

You will work with social workers managers at all levels the local authority legal department and with partners across the Family Justice System; driving improvement and ensuring outstanding service delivery.You will report directly to the Head of Service Family Safeguarding and Disabled Children Service.

An enhanced with barred list DBS check is required for this post.

About You

To apply for this post you must respond to and evidence the following 7 essential criteria within your personal statement

  • Professional Social Work Qualification and Social Work registration
  • Substantial experience of managing childrens social care services
  • Significant experience of strategic thinking at a senior level.
  • Excellent safeguarding knowledge and best practice and knowledge of current legislative requirements governance and relevant policies and procedures associated with the areas identified above.
  • Experience of working with local authority senior managers Members or in a politicalenvironment.
  • Evidence of high levels of skill in data analysis reporting and reporting to senior managers and partner agencies
  • Successful track record of planning managing and delivering projects in time and on budget securing organisational efficiencies where possible.

You must also have an understanding of and commitment toequality diversity and inclusion.
