The role
As the Functional Application Specialist you will be responsible for the optimal configuration maintenance and continuous development of our Delmia Digital Manufacturing software. Delmia is a vital tool supporting our complex naval shipbuilding projects. Acting as the link between the Manufacturing department our inhouse IT organization and the Delmia Customer Support team you will drive application improvements support digital initiatives and contribute to a strategic technology roadmap that enhances application integration process efficiency and scalability to meet evolving project needs.

Key accountabilities
In this role your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain support and further professionalize Delmia within the Manufacturing department.

  • Drive innovative approaches to application management processes and methodologies to continuously improve performance and usability.

  • Implement explain and take ownership of Delmia acting as the primary escalation point for incidents changes and user requests.

  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable requirements standards and specifications related to applications and data integrity.

  • Manage daytoday application support activities while also planning and coordinating longterm improvements and system roadmaps.

  • Monitor measure and actively drive application performance within the Projects domain including defining and managing its budgetary impact.

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external solution providers to develop new capabilities and ensure futureproof scalable solutions.


Skills & experience
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in a technical discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

  • Advanced knowledge of IT/IM products services and processes particularly within a technical or engineering environment.

  • Strong experience with 3D design and engineering applications PDM solutions and engineering analysis tools; experience with Delmia is an advantage.

  • Proven experience in application configuration development and maintenance within a complex projectdriven or engineering context.

  • Ability to take ownership of applications manage stakeholders effectively and translate business needs into functional solutions.

  • Strong analytical communication and coordination skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Good command of the English language both written and verbal; knowledge of Dutch is considered an advantage.

  • Excellent references as a security screening is part of the hiring process.

  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
