What You Will Do:

Take responsibility for the overall availability and reliability of the system ensuring robust monitoring is in place.
Provide feedback on architecture and approach guiding teams to make data-driven decisions.
Implement code and conduct code reviews.
Design systems within a microservices architecture.
Participate in backlog grooming and sprint planning.
Work autonomously to create and execute a vision that propels the product ahead of competitors.

What We Are Looking For:

3 years of relevant backend engineering experience proficient with languages and frameworks preferably Golang or Ruby on Rails.
Expertise in SQL and database design.
In-depth knowledge of RESTful APIs.
Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts.
Proficient in using Git.
Proven experience in system design and building systems from scratch.
Ability to maintain and scale systems effectively.
Strong written and spoken English.
Interest in being groomed for a leadership role within the team.

Nice to Have:

Interest in financial systems security and financial crime.
Experience working with large legacy production codebases.
Relevant experience in payments retail or consumer financial services.
Experience developing in a zero-downtime CI/CD environment.
Ability to read and write frontend code is a bonus.
