Position Summary:The cook/housekeeper is responsible for all duties relating to the purchasing preparation and serving of all snacks and meals. The cook/housekeeper is responsible for general cleaning maintenance and housekeeping. The position includes administration tasks such as daily logs and records. Supports the organizations vision mission and guiding values. This is a fully in-centre position. Job Responsibilities: Creates and maintains a safe and healthy environment that is in compliance with all internal and external guidelines policies and prepares and delivers wholesome and nutritious foods according to set standards and regulations. Follows a set menu while adhering to allergy/dietary restrictions of for ordering purchasing receiving and unpacking of food and supplies while respecting set budgets. Shopping at local stores may be centre inventory ensures freshness and minimizes knowledge of public health requirements relating to food preparation storage dishwashing and general cleaning/disinfecting and unloads centre dishwasher. Hand-washes dishes and supplies as laundry machines. Folds and maintains laundry as temperatures (food) and completes checklists/logs as required. Keeps all kitchen and house keeping records team and supervisor apprised of compliance issues or problems related to outside regulations and internal & Requirements: Minimum of one (1) year experience in food preparation and handler experience working with children an asset.A recent Vulnerable Sector Check At least 18 years of age or older due to licensing assessment and record of immunization as outlined by -to-date certification in CPR-C and Standard First AidValid drivers license and reliable to operate standard kitchen appliances and laundry of Canadas food ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively and establish appropriate relationships with families coworkers and other professionals. Have the physical stamina and ability to kneel bend lift and stand for extended level of physical effort is regularly required; including but not limited to kneeling pushing pulling bending carrying and reaching.
