Job Summary

Summary: Escrow Clerk will assist with a variety of customer service and administrative duties related to receiving and reviewing agent escrow account reconciliations and accounting records. The Escrow Clerk will be required to assist with printing preparing and filing of the reconciliations received for review.

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor reconciliation email inbox for reconciliations received
  • Print and prepare the reconciliations received for review by pulling corresponding bank account folders
  • An understanding of how to review escrow accounting records and inputting the required data into our tracking systems and databases
  • Communicating with clients including requesting missing information related to the reconciliations
  • Reconciling the agents escrow accounting software to their bank statements and creating finalized reconciliation reports
  • Handle emails and phone calls at a fast pace with the utmost customer service.
  • As an Escrow Clerk you must be highly motivated organized and detail oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced high volume and deadline-oriented environment. It is also important that you have excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to deliver superior customer service. Specific qualifications for the position include:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bookkeeping or banking experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with escrow accounting software is recommended.
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines demonstrate strong follow through and to follow departmental procedures
  • Ability to function effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to comprehend and write instructions correspondence and memos using proper punctuation spelling and grammar.
  • Must be a people person and have excellent customer service skills in email on phone and in person.

Qualifications

  • Bookkeeping or accounting clerk experience is strongly recommend
  • Strong customer service/communication and organization skills.
  • Strong computer skills (Word Excel Outlook))
  • Basic knowledge of accounting or banking

Education Formal Training and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 - 3 years experience in clerical accounting
  • knowledge of accounting software
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.
