The Opportunity

As a Supplier Quality Engineer at South Boston location youll play a pivotal part in ensuring that every purchased material meets our rigorous standardssupporting innovation performance and customer satisfaction.
In this role youll partner closely with suppliers and internal teams to assess quality systems lead problem-solving efforts and drive continuous improvement. From supporting new product introductions to shaping strategies that minimize risk your work will influence every stage of the supply chain.

How Youll Make an Impact
Conduct supplier assessments audits and capability studies.
Partner with suppliers to develop quality plans and corrective actions.
Monitor supplier performance using key metrics such as PPM FPY and SCAR closure rates.
Lead root cause analysis and drive effective preventive measures.
Support new product introductions ensuring supplier readiness and sample approval.
Implement continuous improvement activities using 8D FMEA SPC and Lean tools.
Identify supplier risks and create proactive mitigation strategies.
Maintain documentation reports and communication on supplier quality performance.
Your Background
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
3 years of experience in supplier quality quality engineering or similar manufacturing roles.
Strong understanding of ISO 9001 IATF 16949 or other quality management systems.
Proficiency with quality methodologies including PPAP APQP MSA SPC 8D and Lean/Six Sigma.
Experience conducting supplier audits or possessing Lead Auditor credentials.
Ability to travel 2540% to domestic and international supplier locations.
