Job Summary
As a Solution Architect at Version 1 you will design and guide the delivery of modern cloudnative digital solutions for government financial services and private sector clients. You will combine strong architectural thinking with handson understanding of modern JavaScript engineering particularly AWS and NoSQL technologies such as DynamoDB.
You will work across the full solution lifecycle helping clients understand complex problems and shaping architectures that are pragmatic secure scalable and aligned to business needs. You will be deeply involved in technical decisionmaking from frontend frameworks and API patterns to cloud service selection integration design and non-functional requirements.
What Youll Do
- Partner with clients to understand user needs business goals and technical constraints and translate them into cloudnative solution architectures.
- Lead architectural definition for digital services built predominantly with frontends backend services containerised workloads and serverless patterns.
- Design services using AWS native capabilities such as Lambda API Gateway ECS/Fargate SNS/SQS S3 Step Functions and Amazon Cognito.
- Architect and model data solutions using NoSQL patterns particularly DynamoDB.
- Produce clear architectural artefacts including highlevel designs sequence diagrams API specifications security and integration patterns.
- Work with delivery teams to guide implementation and troubleshoot architectural challenges.
- Present solution options and recommendations to architectural review boards and senior stakeholders.
- Contribute to Version 1s architecture community of practice.
Qualifications :
Essential Requirements
- Solution Architecture Expertise Proven experience designing cloudnative digital solutions at enterprise scale.
- Strong JavaScript/TypeScript Background Handson experience with and .
- AWS Cloud Architecture Experience Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloudnative design.
- DynamoDB / NoSQL Data Knowledge Experience modelling NoSQL data structures and aligning data models with performance needs.
- Technical Leadership & Collaboration Ability to communicate technical approaches clearly.
- Delivery-Focused Mindset Familiarity with agile delivery DevOps CI/CD and monitoring.
Highly Desirable
- Experience delivering solutions for government or regulated sectors.
- Background in microservices eventdriven architecture or serverless.
- Knowledge of design and service standards.
- Exposure to AI/GenAI solution integration.
- Participation in architecture/engineering communities.
