Director, Data Management

The Director of Data Management will manage complex crossfunctional projects that enable Visas commercial data products. This includes planning execution risk management and stakeholder communication for CEDP and related initiatives. The role requires strong program governance skills ability to drive clarity in ambiguous environments and experience coordinating across global teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead endtoend project management of our enhanced data program and other assigned data initiatives ensuring scope timelines and deliverables are met.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans RAID logs and governance dashboards.
• Facilitate steering committees working groups and stakeholder updates.
• Partner with Product Engineering and Data Platform teams to align priorities and dependencies.
• Coordinate with Compliance Communications Regional Product Risk and Legal to ensure adherence to regulatory and Visa standards.
• Drive process improvements for project governance and reporting.
• Ensure accurate documentation and changemanagement processes for data rules and workflows.
• Communicate status risks and decisions clearly to senior leadership and crossfunctional teams.
• Support onboarding and enablement for new data capabilities.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:
10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications :
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 6 years of work experience with a PhD
10 plus years of experience in project or program management preferably in technology or data-driven environments.
Bachelors degree in Business Technology related field or equivalent experience.
Proven ability to manage complex multistakeholder projects with global impact.
Demonstrated experience with integrating AI into routine work.
Project management experience at a software or technology company is highly preferred.
Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies - PMP or similar certification a plus.
Payment industry experience is a nice to have.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business teams.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge skills experience and addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
