Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager AML/KYC
Role Overview
The role involves reviewing system-generated alerts analyzing customer transactions for unusual or suspicious activity and documenting findings as per AML and regulatory guidelines. It requires strong analytical skills attention to detail and timely completion of investigations in line with defined procedures and SLAs.
Responsibilities
Review and analyze transaction monitoring alerts generated through AML surveillance systems.
Conduct end-to-end investigations using transactional data customer profiles KYC information and supporting documentation.
Identify and assess unusual or potentially suspicious activity related to money laundering terrorist financing fraud or other financial crime risks.
Perform sanctions Payment PEP and watchlist screening including adverse media searches.
Analyze potential screening matches and determine true vs false positives using a risk-based approach.
Prepare clear concise investigation narratives and document findings with appropriate rationale.
Escalate suspicious cases and support regulatory reporting (e.g. SAR/STR) where applicable.
Ensure timely alert and case closure in accordance with defined SLAs. Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate in any field
Good working knowledge of MS Excel Word PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to draft clear investigation summaries.
Strong knowledge of AML/CTF legislation and AUSTRAC guidelines.
AML/KYC-related certifications are an advantage.
Experience in Transaction Monitoring AML Investigations
Strong understanding of AML typologies red flags and risk indicators.
Ability to analyze complex transaction patterns and large data sets.
Experience with AML monitoring tools and case management systems.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Ability to independently research analyze and recommend solutions to close open items and discrepancies
Good experience in MS-Office applications like Excel Word Power point Outlook etc
