What will you do this year

In your role as an Assistant Manager Marquee Events F&B your primary accountabilities will be to:

• Assist with planning and execution of concession operations for FIFA Fan Festival ensuring efficient service and high-quality standards
• Oversee staffing schedules and ensure appropriate coverage for all concession stands during the event
• Manage recruitment orientation and training of concession staff
• Coordinate inventory administration for concessions including ordering receiving and tracking food and beverage products
• Ensure compliance with FOODSAFE Serving It Right liquor licensing and all applicable regulations
• Liaise with vendors and partners to maintain smooth concession operations
• Troubleshoot operational issues and maintain superior service standards throughout the event
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff managing performance and fostering a positive team environment
• Uphold a clean safe and well-maintained concession environment
• Perform other related duties as required

What else

• Minimum 23 years of experience in a management role within the Food & Beverage industry with a strong focus on concession operations or large-scale events
• Successful completion of Grade 12; post-secondary education in a related field is considered an asset
• Strong knowledge of concession operations food safety and liquor licensing regulations
• Excellent leadership and people management skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Strong administrative and tech skills including Microsoft Office
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills
• Must be able to work an event-based schedule including evenings and weekends during FIFA Fan Fest
• Successful candidates must undergo a Criminal Record Check.

Additional Information

The PNEs compensation offerings are in alignment with a pay-for-performance pay philosophy that recognizes individual and teamwork performance. The role is a permanent full-time position with a typical salary range of $30 - $31 per hour. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidates competencies including but not limited to knowledge skills experience and internal pay structures. As a part of the PNEs total compensation package this position may be eligible for other benefits subject to program eligibility requirements.
