Job Summary

Were looking for a fulltime Communications Advisor to join us in a 12month contract role within our External Communications team.

This position plays an important part in shaping and delivering external communications for Aussie Broadbands key projects working closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure clear consistent and impactful messaging.

This role is based in our Melbourne office with a hybrid work arrangement.

Lets talk about you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • A qualification in Communications Journalism PR or a related field

  • 57 years experience in external communications or PR (Telco or customer comms experience is a bonus)

  • Strong stakeholder management skills

  • A commitment to Aussie Broadbands values

  • Excellent writing skills with a strong Plain English approach

  • Confident communicator who can engage a variety of audiences

  • Great attention to detail and logical problemsolving skills

  • Comfortable using and maintaining communication tools and systems

  • Strong computer skills

  • Welldeveloped organisational skills and the ability to work independently or in a team


Bonus skills

  • Experience in project communications or change management

  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fastpaced environment

  • Ability to analyse data to support decisionmaking

  • Creative thinking and a willingness to challenge the status quo

  • Experience creating or managing website content

  • Experience communicating on social media platforms (Facebook Instagram Twitter LinkedIn)

How will you support our Why

  • Support the creation and delivery of customer communication journeys with Product and Customer Service teams ensuring a great customer experience and meeting compliance requirements.

  • Assist with internal change and communication activities to help teams adopt new ways of working.

  • Write review and edit content such as online articles customer communications and digital materials.

  • Coordinate communication deliverables across the business including planning producing factchecking and securing approvals.

  • Support crisis communications to help protect and maintain Aussie Broadbands reputation.

  • Build strong relationships across the business to uncover and promote success stories.

  • Manage external partner and client communication needs.

  • Contribute positively to the Corporate Affairs team.

  • Perform other reasonable tasks as required.
