Job Summary

**Home Care Aide in Training**

**Position Overview:**

As a Home Care Aide in Training with Generations Home Care - Tacoma you will have the opportunity to acquire the essential skills to deliver high-quality care to clients within their homes. This training program is unpaid (the cost is roughly $800 in associated costs if paid out of pocket). However a payroll deduction option is available to assist with the $200 application and testing fees. Training classes will be held from March 30th to April 14th with testing scheduled to follow. Classes will be held during the day (9:00 AM - 2:00 PM). Successful candidates can achieve certification in just three weeks!

**Responsibilities:**

- Learn and implement caregiver techniques

- Assist clients with daily tasks such as meal preparation personal hygiene and mobility

- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients

**Requirements:**

- A compassionate and caring attitude

- Eagerness to learn and develop new skills

- Strong communication abilities

- Capability to pass a background check

- Willingness to transport clients to appointments and grocery shopping as needed

- Commitment to complete the 3-week training program and a 9-month work commitment with Generations

**Compensation:**
