AWC Staff Services are looking for a National Grid Authorised Wireman/Electrician for work alongside their client at Upper Boat Substation in Pontypridd.

About the role:

Electrical fitting activities on high voltage switch gear transformers and associated equipment
Installation of control and protection equipment.
Installation of earthing systems.
Installation of outdoor equipment such as bus bar disconnectors and switchgear.
Maintenance of high voltage equipment.
Fault finding on low and high voltage equipment
Receiving high voltage documents

You must have your NG Persons ticket and experience working on a live substation to apply for the role

Start: 19th January 2026
Duration: 6 Months
Rate: 300 - 320 Per Day DOE
