Job Summary
EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for a licensed Electrician in Washington DC. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99.Under general supervision the Electrician will perform journeyman-level work in the design installation construction modification repair and maintenance of electrical apparatuses equipment and systems. The scheduled hours are 6:00AM - 2:00PM

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect isolate troubleshoot and repair electrical malfunctions using various test instruments
- Test electrical equipment for safety and efficiency
- Plan the layout and wiring of new or remodeled installations
- Fabricate electrical parts
- Inspect completed work for conformance with specifications requirements and compliance with applicable building and safety codes and regulations; inspect related work performed by contractors
- Estimate cost time and materials for electrical projects
- Participate in the maintenance and operations of an electrical shop
- Clean maintain and service tools and equipment used in the performance of duties
Qualifications
- Must have a Journeyman Electrician or higher License
- 3 years of experience as an Electrician in a commercial or industrial setting
- Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance
