Robertson

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Financial Manager is responsible for leading and strengthening the financial management function by ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting effective budgeting and forecasting robust internal controls and well-structured systems and procedures.
With a strong existing accounting team in place the Financial Managers focus will be on management oversight analysis systems and strategy. The incumbent will work closely with the Directors to professionalise financial operations improve management information and support the business through its next phase of growth.



KEY OBJECTIVES
  • Establish strong financial governance controls and management information systems.
  • Deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting to support decision-making.
  • Lead and mentor the finance department and develop its people.
  • Support the implementation and optimisation ofIQ Retailacross all branches.
  • Build a structured financial framework to enable sustainable business growth.
  • Provide strategic financial input and advice to management and directors.

  • Budgeting Forecasting & Cash Flow Management

  • Debtors & Creditors Management
  • Stock Control & Costing
  • Compliance Taxation & Audit
  • Risk & Insurance
  • Team Leadership and Collaborations

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field
  • Professional qualification (e.g. CA(SA) CIMA ACCA SAIPA) is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years relevant financial management experience
  • Exposure to multi-entity / retail / distribution environments advantageous
  • Strong experience managing finance teams and implementing systems
  • Demonstrable expertise in budgeting forecasting and financial analysis
  • Advanced Excel and system reporting proficiency

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Knowledge:
  • IFRS for SMEs Companies Act Tax and VAT legislation
  • Financial management across multi-branch or retail operations
  • Advanced understanding of ERP financial systems
