Position Summary
The Community Services Summer Student will support the Community Services Supervisor in the Long-Term Care Division.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Administration and Community Services:
Data entry
Event planning
Assist with community presentations and events
Assist with the Lambton County Connects Program
Assist in the Adult Day Programs
General:
Incumbents must keep up-to-date on all relevant legislation collective bargaining agreements County Policies and Procedures etc. ensuring that these are implemented as prescribed
Incumbents must possess the physical ability to meet the duties and responsibilities of the job description and/or the requirements identified within the positions Physical Demands Analysis.

Credentials Required
Minimum Formal Education
Currently enrolled in the Social Services field Recreation Therapy or other related field at a recognized university or college.
Experience
The ability to work both independently and with a small team are required.
Summer Student positions with the County of Lambton may be dependent on funding and the funding criteria which specifies that students must:
Be between 15 and 30 years of age
Registered as a full-time student in the previous academic year and returning to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year
Canadian citizens permanent residents or have refugee protection status under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
Legally entitled to work in Canada
Will not have another full-time job
