Job Summary

The Mechanics will install and/or maintain machinery and equipment according to layout plans blueprints drawings and written instructions in industrial establishments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:--

  • Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures; dismantles machines; moves machinery and equipment.
  • Assembling and installing machines then testing them to make sure they are working correctly
  • Must workin full compliance with the approved safety regulations
  • Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime
  • Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests making temporary repairs or installing new parts
  • Dismantling older machines and replacing them with new ones
  • Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical parts
  • Using machinery or equipment such as forklifts to move mechanical parts
  • Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting conveyors pumps compressors extruders turbines and blowers.
  • Performs any other duties assigned by supervisor
  • Performs all work in a safe and efficient manner and keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition.

Qualifications:

Preferred: Five (5) years mechanical maintenance.

Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:

  • Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
  • May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
  • Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
  • Must have full range of motion consistent with age
  • Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
  • Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees alarms and other job-related noises
  • Visual acuity depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
  • Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
