Raytheon has an opportunity for a Software Engineer I- Embeddedto join ourSurveillance and Tactical Radars Solutions(STaRS) Engineering Team in McKinney TX which is part of our AdvancedProducts & Solutions group.

The AdvancedProduct and Solutions organization at RTXprovides the joint warfighter with actionable information from an unblinking eye across battle space. By joining the APS Engineering teamyoullhave the opportunity to designdevelopand testproduct capabilitiesfor surveillanceradars integrated sensor suites precision targeting multispectral EO/IR targeting systems Pilot Situational Awareness Special missionaircraftand Strategic and tactical ISR Systems.

What You Will Do

This position is for a Software Engineer who hasprofessionalexperience in the development and implementation of software for real-time applications.

Deliverables include but not limited to:

Supports all aspects of a software development life cycle as members of a multi-disciplined team. This would include supporting new and legacy military and commercialprograms from concept and requirements to design development integration test and potentiallysubsequentmaintenance tasking.

Uses andprovides creative solutions to complex technical system and software integrationproblems.

Works closely with Systems Engineers to design ideal solutions with the end user and operational needs in mind.

This position will require occasional business-related travel.

Qualifications You Must Have

Bachelors degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).

This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding Internships).

Experience in developing testing and integrating real-time software applications written in C or closely related software languages.

Experience in computer scripting languages such as Shell/Perl/Python.

The ability to obtain aU.S. government issued Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship isrequired as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

Development experience on Linux VxWorks or other Real Time Operating Systems is highly preferred.

Experience working in lab environments with physical hardware (e.g. test benches simulators).

Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems andestablishedcode bases.

Experience withproduct developmentutilizingthe Scrum techniques of the Agile software developmentprocess.

Experience withDevSecOpspipeline implementation andutilization including Static Code Analysis Automated Build and Automated Test techniques using continuous integration/continuous delivery with Test-Driven Development approach.

Hands-on experience with Git for version control andBitbucketfor repository management.

The salary range for this role is 57200 USD - 108800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
