Kendrick Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a luxury wilderness reserve in Clanwilliam for a hands-on and reliable Maintenance Assistant. This role is ideal for someone with strong practical skills who enjoys working in a remote nature-based environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards across a premium property.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out general maintenance and repairs across the reserve
Attending to plumbing electrical carpentry and basic mechanical issues
Conducting routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Maintaining staff and guest areas to a high standard
Reporting larger maintenance issues to management
Ensuring tools equipment and work areas are kept in good order
Requirements:
Previous experience in a maintenance or handyman role preferably within hospitality or a lodge environment
Good all-round practical and technical skills
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Physically fit and able to work outdoors when required
Willingness to live on site in a remote location
Package on Offer:
Negotiable salary depending on experience
