Job Summary
Adelphi is seeking Registered Nurses (RN) to provide services at a correctional facility in Herlong California. The ideal candidates will provide nursing care to inmates at the facility while ensuring compliance with legal ethical and institutional standards.

Requirements:
Valid and unrestricted California/Nevada license
BLS (AHA)
Minimum 3 years of experience.
Responsibilities:
Administer medications as prescribed i.e. by mouth intradermal subcutaneously or intramuscularly.
Assist with distribution of medications at pill line.
Monitor and evaluate the response to therapy.
Perform skin testing.
Provide diagnostic therapeutic and preventive health care services for the inmate.
Take medical histories examine patients and order and interpret laboratory tests and xrays.
Perform venipuncture for the purpose of obtaining laboratory specimens.
Adhere to infection control policies and procedures.
Assist in determining conditions resources and policies essential to delivery of the health care services.
Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
Work collaboratively with the staff physician(s) and consulting physician(s) in planning instituting evaluating and revising program plans.
Provide direct patient care services in accordance with legal ethical and institutional standards.
Perform nursing duties within the scope of the current licensure.
