Whats the role

As a Senior Manager in our Compliance Incidents team youll take the lead on assessing incidents that may need to be reported to regulators such as ASIC OAIC BCCC and APRA. Youll unpack whats happened apply the right regulatory frameworks make breach determinations support the preparation of breach reports to ensure the bank uplifts going forward.

Youll also play a key role in guiding one or more Managers within the team helping them grow providing insight around compliance incidents and breaches across a portfolio and supporting core team processes like triage.

Youll work across a diverse mix of incident types spanning Consumer Business & Wealth Customer & Corporate Services and Group Functions giving you exposure to a broad set of regimes including privacy responsible lending hardship misleading conduct Banking Code obligations and prudential standards.

This is a fulltime permanent role based in Sydney working three days in the office to connect with the team.

What do I need

To step into this role with confidence youll bring a blend of sharp thinking sound judgement and the ability to work closely with people across the business.

Youll bring:

  • Prior experience in a similar role from banking or financial services.
  • Experience completing Compliance Assessments and making Breach Determinations.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically while staying across the detail.
  • Good judgement and comfort making decisions in complex situations.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with business teams to investigate incidents.
