Job Summary

Graduate Librarian

We are looking for a recently qualified or soontoqualify Librarian or Library Technician to deliver excellent customer service across Penrith Central Library and other branches. Youll assist with information technology and digital services support community programs and help keep our spaces organised and this role youll gain experience and build skills across all areas of public library service delivery.

Be a friendly first point of contact helping customers enjoy library services and confidently use technology and equipment
Take part in programs events and outreach services that connect the community with our libraries
Assist with ensuring all library services and spaces are welcoming and inclusive for all community members
Build your public library skills in outreach programs digital services branch operations and collections.
Work closely with a supportive team and connect with the local community

The must-know bits

You will be required to undertake employment checks which may include a Criminal History Check Qualification Check Working with Children Check Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test as relevant to the position for which you have applied.

Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council for review to progress through the recruitment process.
