About the role

This role contributes to the City by driving a range of Council and service analysis activities which would include business process assessment data capture and assessment drafting reports and proposing solutions and helping to communicate technical information and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.

Role accountabilities include:

  • Review and improve service delivery using established frameworks.
  • Collect and analyse data to identify opportunities for better services.
  • Map and visualise workflows through consultations and workshops.
  • Turn data and feedback into clear actionable insights for improvement.
  • Support reporting change initiatives and the communication of findings across the organisation.

We are looking for a dynamic Service Review Analyst to drive meaningful change across the City of Hobart.
In this role you will dive deep into business processes capture and assess data and craft reports that influence strategic decisions. Youll be the bridge between technical analysis and clear communication helping stakeholders understand complex information and guiding them toward innovative solutions.

  • A Diploma in Business Administration Commerce Data Analytics or a related field or demonstrated equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data frameworks and tools like Power BI.
  • Confident in managing complex projects and engaging a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Able to assess services interpret data and provide clear insights that support improvement.
