The Role
Visy Recycling based in Gibson Island is seeking a Management Accountant to support centrally managed accounting processes planning reporting and analysis activities. This includes monthly reporting midmonth forecasts business analysis and contributing to the annual budget cycle.
This is an 18month paternal leave contract role offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the performance of a major division while gaining exposure to complex largescale operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing midmonth estimate and monthend close tasks
- Preparing and maintaining daily weekly and monthly management reports
- Preparing and analysing financial results forecasts and annual budgets
- Ensuring ledgers comply with corporate policies and accounting standards
- Reviewing balance sheets identifying risks and implementing corrective actions
- Conducting variance analysis and recommending cost optimisation initiatives
- Supporting monthend and yearend processes and broader finance projects
What You Will Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance Accounting Business or CA/CPA qualified
- Proven experience in management accounting ideally in manufacturing or recycling
- Proficiency in SAP and consolidation/reporting tools (Hyperion desirable)
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to accuracy and problemsolving
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a crossfunctional team environment
- Advanced Excel capability
