Job Summary

Learning Prep School in Newton MA is seeking a full-time School Nurse (RN) - Long Term Substitute to join our team covering a Maternity Leave from March to mid-June!This is a full time position: Monday Tuesday Thursday 7:30am-4pm and Wednesday Friday 7:30-2:45pm with occasional flexibility required.Our ideal candidate has experience:

Working independently in a school or pediatric setting
Educating students on their medical needs and promoting wellness in our community

At LPS our School Nurse is an important part of our unique community: a vital resource a friendly face and a good communicator. We rely on our School Nurse to promote a welcoming and safe environment where students feel comfortable asking for help. Our students have language-based learning disabilities and complex profiles. We work closely as a team to help them understand their needs develop self-advocacy skills and achieve their personal school nursing team is made up of one full-time school nurse and a small support staff of part-time and substitute nurses. We rely on our school nurse to work with their support team to ensure coverage each school day during our after school and summer programs and at student council events. Our school nurse works closely with the Chief Operating Officer to support annual student enrollment/registration admissions trials summer program needs and other vital is a great place to work!
