We are currently seeking an Experienced Embryologist to join our Laboratory on a full-time basis. As a key member of our team you will play a crucial role in helping individuals and couples achieve their dreams of parenthood through advanced assisted reproductive technologies.
- Monitor and perform all routine technical procedures and maintenance and administrative activities in the embryology laboratory including but not limited to oocyte collection IVF ICSI embryo transfers cleavage and blastocyst culture warming thawing and vitrification of gametes and embryo biopsy.
- Perform routine Andrology procedures in the diagnostic and clinical laboratory.
- Data entry and generation of reports.
- Maintain equipment and all patient areas to ensure a clean tidy and safe environment.
- Maintain storage and disposal of specimens and cryopreserved gametes and embryos including records and results in accord with patient consent RTAC NPAAC NHMRC and NSW ministry of Health requirements.
- Monitor and perform all laboratory quality control procedures.
- Maintain and update electronic witnessing system in conjunction with Scientific Director to ensure witnessing procedures and data record keeping meet the clinics legislative RTAC and NATA requirements.
- Develop monitor and implement laboratory policies and procedures in conjunction with the Scientific Director.
- Maintain the Patient Database and assist with periodic reports to NPSU (National Perinatal Statistics Unit)
- Maintain a high level of current scientific knowledge regarding research protocols and practical techniques for use in ART.
- Maintain training log ongoing competencies EQA FertAid and KPIs.
- Demonstrate commitment to professional development.
- Ensure all Work Health and Safety requirements are met.
- Manage laboratory emails.
- Assist with auditing.
- Additional duties as required.
Qualifications :
Qualification clause has been changed to this - To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant embryology experience in a clinical embryology laboratory. In addition to SIRT qualifications you must have have a bachelors degree in a relevant field. A Masters degree in Reproductive Biology Embryology or a related field whilst not essential would also be favorable.
