- Perform preventive maintenance and upgrades to wiring conduit and electronic control systems.
- Troubleshoot repair and maintain all types of machinery within buildings whether mechanical or electrical or PLC controlled.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment such as Voltmeter Ohmmeter and Megohmmeter.
- Troubleshoot PLC Controlled Equipment with knowledge of AC Motor Controls DC Motors and Controls Variable Frequency Drives Pneumatic and Hydraulic Controls from wiring diagrams and schematic drawings.
- Work independently completing work in a timely fashion while being thorough enough to complete work orders and maintenance logbooks.
- Perform all duties while maintaining high quality with everyday thoughts for Environment Health and safety.
- Layout install and maintain a variety of industrial process equipment and plant infrastructure.
- Make repairs involving disassembling units and replacing/troubleshooting electrical control circuits.
- Make diagnoses to replace or repair parts and adjust.
- Inspect machinery to ensure proper operation.
- Perform all other skills required of other specialists.
Salary Range: $29 - $35 an hour based on education experience and qualifications of the applicant.
Qualifications :
- Ability to design and install electronic control circuits.
- Understands national electrical code and safety lock out/tag out procedures.
- Experience in running EMT Rigid conduit threading and bending EMT form 1/2 to 2 (kicks saddles 90s offsets etc.).
- Experience with repair installation replacement and testing of electrical circuits and equipment with an extensive understanding of electrical networking and control systems.
- Ability to plan and perform unusual and difficult work where only general methods are available.
- Moderate physical effort; frequently moving lightweight material in difficult work positions.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical logic.
- Ability to perform general air conditioning service work.
- Able and willing to attend school/seminars of specialized trade.
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Understand PLC controlled production lines
