Job Description

We are looking for a .NET engineer with strong application development experience to join our software development team.

Nlyte DCIM (Datacenter Infrastructure Management) products have several 3rd party connectors which can rapidly interface Nlyte with any one of the industrys most popular Virtualization IT Service Management (CMDB Change Management Incident Service Request) infrastructure energy management solutions and hardware device Integration leveraging different remote access protocols including MQTT protocol to connect to different devices (e.g. power strips floor mounted PDUs and UPS systems).

You will work closely with the Product Manager and other QA and Developer engineers to bridge the gap between requirements and technical implementation.

The successful candidate will be an experienced automation engineer who possesses problem solving skills and has a diverse set of technical skills both in development and automated software testing.

The role will be working in an experienced and growing team and will deliver value through increasing automated test coverage which is a key business strategy.

Responsibilities

Design the automation architecture and implement the automated process solutions in accordance with standard design principles and conventions
Configuring new automated processes and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient well structured maintainable and easy to understand
Problem solving issues that arise in day to day running of automated processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required
Creating and maintaining solution documentation
Write reliable sustainable code by utilizing design patterns and refactoring techniques
Work closely with other QA Engineers to ensure the product meets expectations and adheres to high usability standards.

4 years industry experience
Experience focused mainly on automation knowledge in implementing and maintaining automation test frameworks using C#
Test driven development mindset
The ability to conceptualize automated solutions and understand the prescribed design architecture
Good in-depth knowledge of C# framework
Object oriented design principles and design patterns algorithmic and logical skills
Expertise in analyzing test results and ability to effectively triage issues from nightly test runs
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (database concepts database architecture and table relationships backup/restore database medium scripting knowledge database comparisons database users/logins and permissions working experience with SQL Server Management Studio SQL reports is good to have)
Good in-depth knowledge of Client/Server and Web architectures on Windows
Experience with source control and build processes: branching merging one-push-build processes configuration management
The ability to work with a structured and methodical approach combined with an enquiring mind
Solid foundation in software engineering process & best practices (unit testing build automation continuous integration)
Enjoys technical challenges and can propose and evaluate a solution against requirements demonstrates strong customer focus
Excellent oral communication skills in English and interpersonal skills
Good written skills with the ability to clearly document and explain business processes and automated solution designs
Agile self-motivated attitude able to work as part of a team or independently as required
B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.

Nice to have

Good background understanding of network protocols and hardware both on Windows and UNIX-based platforms
Experience in scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell Batch JavaScript).
