Responsibilities

As a German-Speaking Accounts Payable Specialist you will:

• Take ownership of the end-to-end accounts payable process ensuring supplier invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time

• Monitor and manage invoice queues including parked or blocked items to ensure timely resolution

• Perform necessary invoice corrections reversals re-coding and adjustments when required

• Prepare payment runs checking for duplicates exceptions or discrepancies before execution

• Collaborate with treasury to monitor cash flow and support payment forecasts

• Maintain and update vendor master data resolving discrepancies and reconciling accounts with suppliers

• Prepare periodic aging reports and operational performance insights for internal stakeholders

• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and verification of accounts payable activities

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process gaps and suggesting solutions

This role plays a vital part in maintaining healthy vendor relationships and ensuring smooth financial operations across markets.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates who bring:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or a related field

• 36 years of experience in accounts payable or related finance roles ideally within transactional finance or shared services

• Proven knowledge of end-to-end accounts payable processes and best practices

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (such as SAP SAP Concur or equivalents) and strong digital literacy

• Fluency in German and English both spoken and written

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office tools

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data

• Strong organisational skills ability to meet deadlines and multitask under pressure

• A proactive solution-oriented mindset and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
