Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite) Washington D.C.
Compensation: $145000 $210000 base salary
Additional Compensation: Full benefits package annual bonus

The Opportunity
HireNow Staffing is acting as a direct placement partner for a leading Am Law 50 law firm seeking a Practice Manager Investigations & White Collar to support the strategic leadership and operational execution of a complex high-profile litigation practice.
This role functions as a chief of staff to practice leadership partnering closely with Practice Group Chairs and firm business teams to drive alignment across strategy operations finance talent and client service. The Practice Manager plays a critical role in enabling sustained practice growth improving operational efficiency and supporting leadership decision-making in a highly regulated high-stakes environment.
Candidates must bring current law firm experience demonstrated job longevity and the confidence to operate as a trusted advisor to senior partners.
Key Responsibilities
Candidates will be considered for interview based on demonstrated experience performing the following responsibilities at a senior operational level:
  • Partner with Practice Group Chairs the Director of Practice Management and cross-functional teams to develop and execute practice strategy with focus on revenue growth profitability headcount planning market positioning and competitive differentiation
  • Collaborate with Finance to analyze practice financials and KPIs including productivity utilization revenue trends and matter performance delivering actionable insights to leadership
  • Work closely with Talent teams to support staffing strategy workload management equitable work allocation professional development alignment and capacity planning
  • Coordinate with business operations teams to support lateral attorney onboarding and integration
  • Oversee day-to-day practice operations including budget oversight billing and collections support matter intake processes practice meetings and follow-through on initiatives
  • Serve as a point of contact for key clients and in-house legal operations teams supporting service delivery efficiency and overall client experience
  • Partner with Practice Innovation IT Business Development Communications and other administrative teams to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies
  • Support Practice Group Chairs with meeting preparation retreats reporting and execution of ongoing priorities
Only candidates with hands-on experience supporting litigation or regulatory practices will be considered.
Required Qualifications (Non-Negotiable)
These qualifications are mandatory. Candidates who do not meet all requirements will not be considered for interview.
  • Current law firm experience with demonstrated career stability and longevity
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a practicing attorney paralegal or in a closely related legal role
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Strong understanding of law firm operations economics and financial performance metrics
  • Proven ability to translate strategic objectives into executable operational and project plans
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Word PowerPoint Project and Visio
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with partners senior leadership and staff
  • Ability to operate independently manage competing priorities and perform effectively in fast-paced high-pressure environments
  • High level of professionalism discretion and judgment
Preferred Qualifications (Strong Differentiators)

  • Direct experience supporting Investigations White Collar or regulatory practices
  • Prior experience driving continuous improvement or practice innovation in professional services organizations
  • J.D. or MBA
  • Demonstrated confidence serving as a strategic advisor to senior partners and firm leadership
