Team mission
Our People Services team powers the employee experience by facilitating change and helping navigate the moments that matter. We achieve this by providing efficient knowledgeable and reliable service to employees throughout their entire GetYourGuide journey ensuring a compliant and empathetic approach. To support us on this journey we are seeking a dedicated People Operations Specialist to support our APAC this role youll be constantly learning and face new challenges daily enabling you to enhance your HR skills and expertise across diverse areas of interest. This role is based in Bangkok and reports into our central People Operations team in Berlin Germany.
Your mission
- Act as the primary contact for our APAC employees* providing expert guidance on region-specific HR processes and operational support throughout their journey at GetYourGuide - including onboarding and offboarding relocation and visa support insurance & benefits administration partnering with local legal & tax consultants and more.
- Champion operational efficiency by designing and maintaining sustainable user-friendly and effective HR processes that ensure local regulatory compliance and labor law requirements.
- Act as a liaison between employees and leadership in APAC and our central business teams in Germany ensuring smooth communication and alignment.
- Lead low-performance management processes including Performance Improvement Plans and resulting actions (i.e. separations severance off-boarding).
- Provide support in resolving employment legal matters related to misconduct investigations employee grievances crisis management and other employment law matters.
- Oversee local office operations for Bangkok including coordinating catering and managing office vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with People Team stakeholderssuch as People Partners Payroll People Relations and People Systemsto deliver a seamless employee experience aligned with GetYourGuides People strategy.
** Our APAC offices are located in Bangkok Hong Kong Sydney and Tokyo.
Your toolkit
- You are an HR generalist with a university degree in Human Resources Business Administration Organizational Psychology or a related field.
- You bring at least 4-5 years of experience in People Operations (HR) within a dynamic fast-paced and international environment.
- You are Fluent in English and Thai both written and spoken and comfortable communicating with stakeholders across different cultures and time zones.
- In-depth knowledge of Thai labor law and collaboration with external lawyers; labor law knowledge for our other APAC regions is a big plus.
- Experience with HRIS (preferably Workday) ticketing systems such as Jira (Service Desk) and Google Suite.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills: a people-oriented individual who understands employee needs and can effectively guide diverse stakeholders.
- You are highly organized can manage priorities across multiple stakeholders and locations and are comfortable reprioritizing in a high-velocity environment.
