Role Details:
As the Site Accountant for Hemmant you provide handson finance support to the manufacturing team on site. You ensure accurate management reporting strong cost control and compliance with accounting standards. Your work enables better decisionmaking through budgeting forecasting and meaningful financial analysis.
In this role you partner closely with theState Operations Manager Site Manager and support teams at Hemmant while also working with the broader finance team across Queensland.
What Youll Do:
- Provide daily monthly and adhoc financial reporting to support site decisionmaking
- Support budgeting forecasting and longterm planning
- Complete monthend processes including P&L journals inventory cutoffs and balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards internal controls and audit requirements
- Assist with Capex reviews asset management and investment analysis
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy
What You Will Bring:
Experience Mandatory
- You have proven experience in management accounting.
- You have handson experience preparing budgets forecasts and financial analysis in a medium to large organisation.
- You are confident working with a large ERP system (SAP Oracle or similar).
- You understand inventory management principles.
- You are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel including advanced functions.
Experience Desirable
- You have experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- You have worked with SAP previously.
Qualifications Mandatory
- You hold a Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- You are CA/CPA qualified
